Bio-diesel Production
Prairie Pride,
Inc. is a new-generation, producer cooperative that will be converting
soybean oil into bio-diesel fuel. We are currently in the process of
constructing a new soybean extraction/bio-diesel refinery facility at
Deerfield, in West Central Missouri.
The new facility will
ultimately crush 21,000,000 bushels of soy beans per year to obtain soy
oil. The refinery will then convert that soy oil into 30,000,000
gallons of bio-diesel.
The first phase of
construction was completed in 2007 with the final phase projected for
completion in mid 2008.
The Future of Clean Renewable Fuel
Bio-diesel is
a non-toxic, bio-degradable and renewable fuel source that is made by
refining the glycerin from soybean oil. It will help the US economy
by stimulating agriculture and reducing dependency on foreign oil.

Our Goals
PPI has three main goals:
-
To provide soy bean producers with
value-added solution to marketing their soybeans
-
To reduce the United States dependency on
foreign oil
-
Reduce pollution with clean,
bio-degradable fuel
